We found some really great photoshop tutorials on an old post on lifehacker the other day.
The guy that made them is Donnie Hoyle and he does an awesome job of explaining the more advanced photoshop techniques while injecting a very dark, but entertaining twist to them.

Even if you don't want to heed my advice and watch these videos you should check out Laughing Squid (the blog the videos are hosted on) anyway as its pretty cool, though right now their latest story is about Tron. :]
